Major Responsibilities:


The Crop Insurance Sales Specialist is responsible for the sale and servicing of multi-peril, livestock, and crop hail insurance. Incumbents develop and maintain relationships with customers throughout the insurance process and provide agricultural and insurance expertise to customers. Manage and conduct marketing activities in assigned territory i.e. grower meetings, trade shows, local events. Write and service insurance applications and perform customer visits. Promotes the association by maintaining good public and member relations and represents the association at various community events / meetings. Maintains awareness of agricultural trends and business activity, regulations, and legal obligations.

Desired Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Experience in the agribusiness/farming industry, 3-5 years in agricultural crop insurance or closely related field is preferred. Must have an understanding of farm business management with an understanding of rural living is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, communication, problem solving, analytical, negotiating, influencing and strategic selling skills. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
